Bigger. Better. Fun for the whole family. Wondering what to do for fun this summer? Why not join us at the 2005 Buick Championship. You will see the world's best golfers playing at the top of their game on a truly great course, the fan-friendly TPC at River Highlands. This year the PGA TOUR comes back to Connecticut from August 22-28. If you made it to the Buick Championship on the final day last year, you saw Woody Austin calmly make a six-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to defeat Tim Herron and earn the first-place prize of $756,000. That's pure excitement. For 2005, our promise is to continue to make the Buick Championship a really great fan experience. The fun starts right at the entrance to the tournament grounds in the newly improved Expo Village and Courtyard. This is where you will find great shopping, interactive exhibits for both adults and children, including the very popular Buick Experience. At the Buick Expo on the 15th hole, your Tiger wannabe can get his or her picture taken with a virtual Tiger for a truly memorable souvenir. Then there's the practice green where you can watch the pros warm up their putting game. Perhaps, you'll pick up a few pointers to improve your putting? On Tuesday August 23, it's Family Day when children under 17 are admitted free. You and the kids can watch the Celebrity Long Drive Competition, follow your favorite pro during his practice round, or watch the Youth Golf Clinic. Busy Tuesday? Come Wednesday, August 24 for the St. Paul Travelers Celebrity Pro-Am for one of the truly fun moments of the tournament. In 2004, spectators watched celebrities the likes of Bill Murray and Chris Berman go at it on the first tee, and they didn't stop for 18 holes. Want non-stop golf action? Then Thursday to Sunday are your days! Everywhere you look, every day you are here, you will find something new to see, try or do. Our goal is simple. We want your family or your favorite Saturday foursome to have fun. Along the way, we want to thank you. Your support of this Tournament has enabled the Greater Hartford Jaycees to contribute over $24 million to charities and community programs in Connecticut. So, buy your tickets today, online and become part of what promises to be one of the coolest weeks this summer! The Buick Championship in Cromwell, CT, August 22-28, 2005. |
